Gino Nardella, the Master Sommelier (one of only 60 in the world), hosts wine tastings and can make them as formal or as informal as you like. The sommelier will happily assist with wine choices for your event, with house wines priced at £28.50 per bottle.

The Pink Room (8 seated, 15 standing) is located on the ground floor of the hotel. Perfect as either a syndicate or reception room to the larger Sutherland Room, the warm mahogany panels and leather fenders around the fire in The Panel Room (8 seated, 20 standing) create the feel of a Gentleman's Club. Room hire fees start from £200.

    The Panel Room

Adjoining The Panel Room, the newly refurbished versatile Sutherland Room (28 seated, 50 standing) always looks impressive. This room offers the ultimate in privacy and security, with no external access, and is fully air conditioned. Room hire fees start from £400.

The 380-year-old, working Wine Cellars (44 seated, 100 standing) are the ideal setting for entertaining guests and challenging taste buds with some of the finest wines from around the world. Divided into several different areas, the largest section can accommodate up to 44 guests for a seated lunch or dinner. A highlight of the cellar tour is the little-known alcove tucked away in a quiet corner, known as the ‘Better ‘Ole Club’. The museum-style repository overflows with memorabilia left at The Stafford by American and Canadian officers, who called the hotel home during World War II. Guests will be impressed by the sight of softly flickering candlelight dancing across the chambers, illuminating over 20,000 bottles of wine. Room hire fees start from £600.
